Camp Barnacle has been active since 2007 and is run by 191 NLCC Carleton (Fredericton Corps)' Our camp name origination came from Mr. Fred Barnaby, the president of our Navy League and owner of the land that our camp is hosted on.
We hold a five day camp where our Cadets learn basic sail, canoeing, water, and fire safety. We also do range both pellet and simulator. The Cadets learn respect, leadership, teamwork and make new friends.
We have a certified cook and great food, the grounds are always full of well trained Officers and CI's. Also there is a full time fully trained First Aid Officer that stays on site.
Camp Barnacle runs the first full week in August starting Wednesday at 1800 hrs through 1400 hrs on Sunday. Our camp hosts up to five NLCC Cadet Corps including ourselves, and corps come from Moncton (NLCC Codiac), Oromocto (189 NLCC Oromocto), Quispamsis (NLCC Cromwell) and Charlottetown (58 NLCC Hyndman).
We are proud to say that our Cadets leave with knowledge, new friendships and self pride.
